Project Kick-off Meeting

Sixteen project partners from the eleven participating countries met from October 13 to October 15, 2009 in Barcelona, Spain to hold the kick-off meeting for the CA RISKCYCLE in the Sala de Conferencias of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC).

The program of the kick-off meeting was divided into various sessions of productive presentation and discussion of the project topic and work plan. During the first day the Project Management Board gathered for a critical review of the proposed project objectives and to discuss management procedures and following working steps.
The second and third day of the meeting brought together the complete circle of participants and were consequently used as opportunity to get to know each other and to speak about specific experiences and strengths and what on that basis the best effective work structures and collaborative arrangements can be for the project purposes. Each partner was given the chance to present his contributions to the project objectives and to seek a clarification on yet pending issues of the project organisation. Eventually, all work packages were synchronised and a project road map completed.

As part of the kick-off meeting agenda, the advisory committee was introduced and the final partner structure agreed which included the decision to integrate a new partner in replacement for an inhibited candidate organization.
