1st Project workshop

The 1st RISKCYCLE-workshop was held on May 4-5, 2010 at the Hanoi University of Science in Vietnam. Participants in this workshop were coming from all project partner organizations and included a further number of interested audience. The program of the workshop can be seen from the Flyer download which is provided here.

The workshop comprised six sessions of different topical focus over the period of two days. A summary of them is provided in the proceedings report (project deliverable 2.2).

Sessions on the 4th of May covered issues pertaining to chemical safety and the role that the European new Chemicals Legislation REACH can play here. It also looked onto the chemical substances used by the paper, textile and leather sectors as well as the problem of chemicals in the plastics market. During the second day the focus was laid on problems in the lubricant, textile and e-waste sector and issues of information management for risk assessment were discussed.

During the 2nd day of the workshop a field excursion to recycling sites near Hanoi was organized for the attendees.
