2nd Project workshop

The partners of RISKCYCLE met for the 2nd project workshop during the period November 15-19, 2010 at Shenyang Aerospace University in the P.R. China.

A public workshop event held on November 17 comprised six sessions focussing on the different work packages of the co-ordination action RISKCYCLE.

In the first two sessions the fate and impact of chemicals were reviewed on the example of production and recycling processes in Vietnam, India and China, and risk administration was discussed. Subjects of other workshop session were current testing methods and the different approaches of risk assessment along the life cycle of products. Within that context life cycle assessment methods were of particular concern.

Guest participants had been invited to attend the workshop sessions and technical presentations without payment of any fees.

The RISKCYCLE workshop was concluded with a final discussion led by the work package leaders and further included a poster presentation and a guided field tour to a facility for WEEE recycling and hazardous waste treatment.
