Project meeting in the Philippines

In conjunction with the planned training course in the Philippines, the project partners held their 3^rd internal workshop at Miriam College. The meeting which took place on April 11-12,2005 was attended from staff of all participating institutions including a representative of the Delegation of the European Commission to the Philippines.

Aside from discussing the project results obtained since the last meeting and further proceedings for the research work, particular attention was also devoted to administrative issues and the settlement of last organisational details for the forthcoming seminar-workshop on "Ecological Solid Waste Management Strategies". An introduction of the new scheme of sanitary waste management established in context with the ISTEAC-actvities of Miriam College and a visitation tour to the relevant facilities and other waste management "hot-spots" in the campus concluded the meeting.
